Stagnate churches are fertile places to grow dissensions, hatred, and sin. These are fruits of the flesh, not the fruit of the Spirit. Since there is no Spirit to create His fruit in the hearts of a stagnate church, they become the mosquitos and flies of society.

Welcome to the dark side
Gain through societal sins is not honoring to God. Many may have lived in ignorance of how sinful their attitudes and motives were, but that does not change that they were sin. Jesus died and rose again to free us from sin, not to change its definition.

Jesus told us the two greatest commands are “Love God, love people.” The way to love God is love people, they are the Temple we are to invest in.
For me, indeed?
Love is at the core of holiness. That love is not driven by the pursuit of our own desires or hoped outcomes. This love drives pursuit and is the hope that comes from a heart completely devoted to God, being filled with the Spirit.
